Sterilbox bin washer

Sterilbox bin washer is equipped with 5 UV lamps, in particular 3 22W lamps under the basket e 2 39W lamps on each side of the upper washing tub. The  lamps are placed to guarantee uniform radiation in the tub and full exposure of the bins to their bactericidal action.

The lamps switch on when the washing cycle starts and automatically switch off before the hot-water rinse cycle.

Sterilbox is equipped with a safety switch preventing switch on of the lamps until the sliding door is completed locked and automatically switching them off in case of malfunction in opening.

The safety switch prevents accidental exposure to UV radiation during loading/unloading operations.

The UV radiation inactivates bacterial cell DNA and RNA  working on the pyrimidine bases (thymine, cytosine, urocil) and creating atypical dimers, which destabilize the hydrogen bond with complementary bases and prevent normal replication processes of  nucleic acids.
